The spring mauve colour peeps through the mild pre-winter air

Yesterday afternoon, just as I was checking the different winter blooms coming up, I was surprised to find the trumpet vine's sweet mauve colour peeping through in the thin afternoon air. Yes, they were the first blossoms in our trumpet vine. They are not thick and envious as the sapphire wisteria blossoms but they are milder but a sight of immaculate beauty. Not only are the trumpet clusters of soft mauve, an unique sight, but their tight bud clusters are even more interesting. I am waiting to see them in full bloom in the spring time.

Watch the mauve purple shades as they mingle with the water droplets from the garden hose and climb up the vine below.
